Leadership Tuneup Update
Leadership Tune-Up is ABCNW’s primary annual event for training, connection, worship and mutual encouragement. We design the gathering for pastors, staff and church leaders, but every Christ-follower will benefit. Bring yourself and your team!
We’ve had a change in speakers. Just two weeks ago by request of his Elder Board Dan Kimball withdrew from speaking at this year’s Leadership Tune-Up. Dan cited too many days away from his church because of an overbooked schedule. Dan worked with Charles Revis to schedule Rick McKinley as his replacement. Rick is the pastor of Imago Dei in Portland. He is an outstanding church planter, pastor and author. We look forward to hearing from Rick, and some time in the future we will reschedule Dan to be with us.
Here’s a little information about Rick McKinley. (More about Rick and the church may be found at www.imagodeicommunity.com.)
Rick McKinley serves as lead pastor at Imago Dei. He and his wife Jeanne moved to Portland to plant Imago Dei Community with 8-year-old twins, a two year old and a one year old. Today, besides his pastoral and preaching duties with Imago, Rick travels widely to share local movements like Advent Conspiracy with the broader church. He also serves as faculty at Multnomah Seminary. His books include Jesus in the Margins, Advent Conspiracy, This Beautiful Mess, and A Kingdom Called Desire. Rick and Jeanne enjoy spending time with their kids and thanking God for all He has done and continues to do in the community.
