Mission Northwest announces the New Leadership Dream Fund.
Investing in the leaders who will shape the future of the Church
At Mission Northwest, we believe one of the greatest investments we can make in the future of ministry is investing in the development of healthy, faithful leaders. That’s why we’re introducing the Leadership Dream Fund, an expanded vision that replaces our previous Dream Fund and places a greater emphasis on developing the people who will lead and serve our churches.
We believe that investing in leaders creates opportunities for even greater ministry impact in the future. By helping emerging and current leaders grow in their calling, we hope to see stronger churches, healthier ministries, and greater Kingdom impact throughout our Association of Churches.
Who is the Leadership Dream Fund for?
The Leadership Dream Fund is for individuals called to serve the local church who are pursuing education or development to prepare them for ministry. We especially want to encourage and support students whose local church has affirmed their call to ministry. That affirmation is an important part of recognizing and developing future leaders.
Our hope is to help raise up leaders who are: Called - Healthy - Ethical - Equipping - Relational.
What does the fund support?
The Leadership Dream Fund can help support a variety of educational and leadership development opportunities, including: Undergraduate education - Seminary education - Doctoral studies - Certificate programs - Continuing education experiences
Funding may be used at approved and accredited schools or for continuing education experiences, provided the education and training align theologically and missionally with Mission Northwest churches.
Whether someone is beginning their ministry journey or continuing to grow in their calling, we want to help make meaningful development opportunities possible.
How much funding is available?
The Leadership Dream Fund is designed to invest in future leaders across Mission Northwest.
Churches may receive up to $5,000 per year to support students.
A church may share that funding among multiple students.
Our initial goal is to distribute up to $100,000 annually through the fund.
As additional funding becomes available, we hope to grow the amount invested in leadership development, even beyond the initial $100,000 planned.
How can your church participate?
We believe local churches play an essential role in identifying, affirming, and developing future leaders.
Your church can participate by:
Identifying future leaders. Look for people who demonstrate a calling and desire to serve the local church.
Affirming their calling. Encourage and affirm those who are taking steps toward ministry.
Sharing the opportunity. Help potential students learn about the Leadership Dream Fund.
Investing in their development. Partner with Mission Northwest to help equip the next generation of church leaders.
Investing in leaders. Resourcing and Developing Churches that Connect People to Jesus. The future of the Church depends, in part, on how we invest in the leaders God is raising up today. Through the Leadership Dream Fund, Mission Northwest wants to come alongside our churches and help develop humble, courageous, healthy, effective, and faithful leaders who will serve the local church for years to come.
